HBC President’s Letter: April 2026 The HBC Board of Directors met on April 9th, 2026. We have much to look forward to this season. Rides have officially resumed, and despite intermittent snow and rain, many of our favorite routes are already up and running. This includes Medium Mondays (both morning and evening, Sunday Moose Country Roll, and St. Boni Bound. Please save the date for our Spring Kickoff on May 9th. You can find full details on the Ride Calendar. Don't forget that, as a token of our appreciation, the HBC Board is offering a 20% discount on HBC jerseys through April 30th. If you haven’t purchased yours yet, now is the perfect time to do so. Our annual Ride Leader Refresher will be held on May 3rd. While this session is mandatory for current Ride Leaders, anyone interested in learning what it takes to become a Ride Leader is welcome to attend. The club greatly benefits from new Ride Leaders who bring fresh perspectives and new routes. You should have received an invitation from our Ride Leader Chair, Doug Claycomb, last week. Details are on the Ride Calendar. Ride Hiawatha succeeds thanks to our dedicated volunteers. If you are available to help, please reach out to Cheryl Meier or Sharon Berlin. The April Birthday Bash was held (with chocolate cake!) at Davanni's in Edina. With the closure of D'Amico's, we will continue to explore restaurant options. Stay tuned for the location of the May Birthday Bash. Finally, the rejuvenation of the HBC website is nearing completion.
