Hiawatha Bicycle Club Virtual Film Event - Details

Friday, February 26  7:00 pm

Is the cold weather on top of COVID getting you down? In a normal year, we would have Friday evening Birthday Bashes and Smart Cycling gatherings to look forward to. In that spirit, our Club is offering us the opportunity to gather with your biking friends virtually and watch two wonderful bicycling documentary videos on Friday evening, February 26 at 7:00 pm.

The first video is a 20-minute inspiring documentary about a Nepali Mountain Biker. This young self-taught mountain biker was named Adventurer of the Year by National Geographic. The scenery is amazing.

Next, we will view the documentary Race Across America, a 40-minute video about a 2011 team of British cyclists who compete in one of the most extreme and longest bicycle races on the planet, the 3,000-mile RAAM.

There will be a discussion period following the videos. For those of you have ridden across America in RAAM or another organized ride, or if you have been to Nepal, we would really like to hear your stories.

This is a Zoom event (with the movies having captions).  To sign up, just send an email and we will reply back with the Zoom link.

To get the Zoom Link and Instructions simply send an email request to:   events@hbcmail.org

The Club will reply back with the meeting link.

Since Edie can't buy the monthly birthday cake, bake your own cake for singing happy birthday to our February Birthday members.
